Accessibility statement
Last updated · 1 July 2026
Pointnode Ltd ("Pointnode", "we") is committed to making the Pointnode platform usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology. This statement sets out what we do today, where we know we fall short, and how to get help or give us feedback.
1. Our target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is a goal we work towards, not a certification we hold — the platform is a data-dense industrial dashboard and some areas meet the standard more fully than others. We treat accessibility as an ongoing obligation, not a one-off project.
2. What is in place today
These measures are built into the platform and can be independently verified:
- Keyboard operability. Interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible keyboard focus indicator on every focusable element.
- Reduced motion. We honour the operating-system "reduce motion" preference platform-wide — animations and the live status pulse are frozen for people who are sensitive to motion.
- Semantic structure and labelling. Pages use semantic HTML with ARIA labelling on icons and controls, and screen-reader-only text where a control’s purpose is not conveyed by its visible label.
- Touch-target size. Interactive targets are sized for comfortable use on touch devices.
- Light and dark themes. A light and a dark theme are available; colour is not used as the only means of conveying status (state is also carried by text and shape).
- Responsive layout. The interface reflows from large desktop monitors down to phones without loss of content or function.
3. Where we know we fall short
We would rather be candid than boilerplate. The following areas are not yet fully optimised for assistive technology, and we are working on them:
- Some live-updating monitoring widgets and complex charts are not yet fully described to screen readers; the same data is generally available in tabular form or via CSV export.
- A small number of dense configuration tables rely on horizontal scrolling on narrow screens.
- We have not yet completed a full independent WCAG 2.2 AA audit of every surface.
4. Compatibility
The platform is designed to work with current versions of the major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and their built-in accessibility features, and with common screen readers. If you use an older browser or a specific assistive tool and hit a barrier, please tell us (below) — it helps us prioritise.
5. Feedback and getting help
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information from the platform in a different format, contact us at accessibility@pointnode.io. We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within five working days and will work with you on a reasonable adjustment. This supports our duty to make reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010.
6. Formal assessment
Our current conformance position is based on an interim internal self-assessment against WCAG 2.2 AA. We can provide an accessibility conformance report (VPAT-style) on request for procurement or due-diligence purposes — email accessibility@pointnode.io. We will update this statement as we complete further testing and remediation.
